The League of Mathematics Wizards (LMW) held its General Assembly on August 28, 2026 at the Model Room of the College of Education (CED), in which members gathered for the presentation of organizational plans, policies, and activities for the semester.
The program featured the presentation of the organization’s Constitution and By-Laws (CBL), the crafting of organizational policies, and the presentation of activities planned for the whole semester. Faculty members of the Mathematics Department and the officers of LMW were also introduced during the assembly.
Roxanne Costales, president of LMW, said the General Assembly serves as an important event for the organization as it provides an opportunity to present its plans for the semester, including the policies that will guide its activities and operations.
The assembly also featured an inspirational message from former LMW president Stephanie Lim, who shared words of encouragement with the members as they begin their work and participation in the organization.
A key part of the program was the oath-taking ceremony of the LMW members, which formally welcomed and affirmed their commitment to the organization. Costales administered the oath in which members pledged to fulfill their responsibilities as part of the organization.
Meanwhile, LMW adviser Randy Acoba expressed his hope that members would remain active throughout the semester, especially in the organization’s activities within the campus and in communities outside the university.
The General Assembly set the direction of LMW for the semester in which members received the organization’s plans, policies, and responsibilities. It also marked the start of another semester of activities for the mathematics organization and its members.
