League of Math Wizards - 2026 Campus-Based Statistics Month Celebration

General Guidelines for All Contested Activities
Date: October 15, 2026
Tentative Venue: Climate Change Hall

The contests are open to all officially enrolled students of the campus.
Each participant/team must accomplish the official registration form within the prescribed registration period.
All entries must be original and unpublished and must adhere to the theme of the 37th National Statistics Month.
Entries must promote the importance of statistics in decision-making, research, education, community development, and everyday life.
Plagiarized, copied, or AI-generated entries are not allowed and may result in disqualification.
Participants must observe proper copyright and intellectual property practices. All images, music, data, and other materials from external sources must be properly credited.
The decision of the Board of Judges shall be final and irrevocable.
Winners shall receive certificates and/or prizes as determined by the organizing committee.

INFOGRAPHIC COMPETITION

The competition is open to individual participants.
Each participant shall create an infographic focusing on a statistical topic relevant to the 37th National Statistics Month. The specific dataset will be given during the competition.
The infographic must contain at least one or more statistical elements such as:

a. percentages;

b. graphs or charts;

c. tables;

d. statistical indicators; or

e. other relevant numerical information.

All statistics presented must be accurate and supported by credible sources.
The infographic may be created using Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, or other digital design applications.
The final output shall be submitted in PNG or JPG format, with a recommended size of 1080 × 1350 pixels.
Sources and references must be indicated in the infographic or accompanying document.
Each participant may submit one entry only.

DIGITAL POSTER MAKING

The competition is open to individual participants.
Each participant shall create an original digital poster promoting the 37th National Statistics Month.
The poster must communicate a clear message about the importance, relevance, or application of statistics. The specific focus of the digital poster will be announced during the competition.
Participants may use any digital design software or application.
The poster must be submitted in JPG or PNG format.
The recommended poster size is 24 × 36 inches, in portrait orientation.
The entry must contain the necessary NSM identification, including the 37th National Statistics Month and its official theme.
Copyrighted images, illustrations, logos, or other materials may only be used with permission or proper attribution.
Each participant may submit one entry only.

STATIKTOK COMPETITION

The competition may be participated in by an individual or a team of up to five (5) members.
Participants shall produce a TikTok-style video that presents a statistical concept, fact, issue, application, or message related to the 37th National Statistics Month. The main focus of the TikTok video will be announced during the competition.
The video must be educational, informative, entertaining, and appropriate for a university audience.
The video shall have a maximum duration of 3 minutes.
Participants may use humor, storytelling, skits, dance, spoken word, demonstrations, or other creative approaches.
All statistical information presented must be accurate and properly sourced.
The use of copyrighted music, video clips, photographs, or other materials must comply with applicable copyright rules.
Entries must be submitted in MP4 format, preferably in vertical orientation.
Each participant/team may submit one entry only.
Entries may be posted on the official social media page of the organizing committee for promotional purposes, subject to the consent of the participants.

PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST

The competition is open to individual participants.
Each participant may submit one original photograph.
The photograph must capture a scene, situation, or subject that can be meaningfully connected to statistics, data, measurement, patterns, trends, or statistical information. The specific focus of the photograph will be announced during the competition.
The photograph must be taken by the participant.
Participants may use any available camera, including smartphones, DSLR cameras, or other digital cameras, to capture their entries.
Basic photo enhancements such as cropping, brightness, contrast, and color adjustment are allowed.
Substantial manipulation, compositing, or AI-generated images are not allowed.
The photograph must be submitted in JPG/JPEG format with the highest available resolution.
Each entry must include a title and a short caption of not more than 100 words explaining its connection to statistics.
Participants must secure appropriate consent when identifiable individuals are prominently featured in the photograph.
Entries may be posted on the official social media page of the organizing committee for promotional purposes, subject to the consent of the participants
Each participant may submit one entry only.

SONGWRITING AND INTERPRETATION CONTEST

The competition is open to individual participants or groups of up to eight (8) members.
Participants shall compose and perform an original song related to the 37th National Statistics Month. The specific focus of the song will be announced during the competition.
The song may be performed in English, Filipino, or a combination of both.
The composition must contain a clear message about statistics, data, statistical literacy, evidence-based decision-making, or the relevance of statistics to society.
The lyrics and melody must be original.
Participants may use live musical instruments or an instrumental accompaniment.
The use of karaoke versions or copyrighted songs with merely modified lyrics is not allowed.
The performance shall not exceed 7 minutes, including the introduction and performance.
Participants shall submit a copy of the original lyrics together with the entry.
The top 3 winners will perform live during the culminating activity for the purpose of determination of champion.
Each participant/team may submit one entry only.
